What Home Sellers Should Expect This Coming Year It's how we help buyers and sellers reach their goals 


Randal:
Selling your home in 2021? What should you expect? Stay tuned. So how long would you like us to be on this video today? Would you like to make it snappy? Or do you want us to talk for a while? We'll give you both. What to expect from 2021? Outside of the Coronavirus, you can expect exactly the same thing you saw in 2020. This is going to be a carbon copy minus our crisis.

Erik:
So are we going to see prices going up, down, staying the same, days on market, inventory? What should sellers expect?

Randal:
Experts are saying all over the country that we're going to continue to see rising prices, lack of inventory, very low days on market, multiple offer situations-

Erik:
Low interest rates.

Randal:
On every single place in the United States? Not at every single place, but that is what we can expect out of 2021. So if you are a seller and you're thinking of making that move this year, or you're a homeowner and thinking of making a move this year, you can really look at 2021 being very similar to 2020 in regards to the housing market being very robust. Again, there's three drivers to this. One, the lack of inventory. The lack of inventory is driven by the fact that many people are choosing to stay in their house many times longer than they used to. It used to be six to seven years, now it's 13. Second, we have...

Low interest rates.

Randal:
Low interest rates, right?

Erik:
Yeah. So we're looking at 30 year fixed rates for conventional mortgages-

Randal:
In the twos.

Erik:
In the twos, below 3%, super cheap money for buyers, keeping buyers in the market right now.

Randal:
Yep. Yep.

Erik:
And number three-

Randal:
Number three is-

Erik:
Lots of millennials.

Randal:
Lots of millennials in the market and lots and lots and lots of demand. So of course, all of this is really specific to your home. Hey, are you in a condo? Are you in a single? Do you have a multi to sell?

Erik:
Do you have outdoor space? Do you have parking?

Randal:
