SUMMER 2021 - Jamie is a native Ohioan who moved to Boston in 2010 with his now husband, Greg. They live in Jamaica Plain where Jaime serves on the Jamaica Plain Artists Association steering committee and is a proud member of our vibrant arts community.
Jamie first put paint to canvas in college and immediately fell in love. He painted very sporadically over the past 16 years but became re-energized in 2018 with the encouragement and support of friends. While he paints mostly with oils, he has been experimenting with acrylics and enjoy aspects of each.
He almost always start a painting without knowing what will emerge. Jamie finds the most joy and relaxation in mixing colors, moving the paint around and watching forms come into being. It is an opportunity to shut out the rest of the world, get messy and have fun!
