Try this 4 point plan to help you keep your resolutions.

Randal and Erik:

Happy new year!

Erik:

Isn't that what everyone does the first of the year, they make resolutions?

Randal:

They make resolutions.

Erik:

And then they don't keep them.

Randal:

Well, usually, right. So I guess we're gonna talk about resolutions today and how to keep them. We have a four point plan, you ready? First of all, make a resolution, have a plan, right? What is that plan? Second, have a timeframe. Don't just make the goal, like I want to be 10 pounds thinner or, you know, I want to whatever you wanted.

Erik:

Learn Spanish or whatever it is. But by when?

Randal:

Figure out how to tie your shoes, I don't know.

Erik:

Make it measurable and timeframe.

Randal:

When are you gonna do that by? And really have that satisfaction of meeting that goal. And then next, make it somewhere visible what your plan is, right? What is your goal? What's your resolution? Make it visible, post it in your house. We've had people tell us that they like take a tube of red lipstick and write it on their mirror or write it on the tile in their shower.

Erik:

People put it on their phones where you're looking at your phone.

Randal:

Yep, a little image on your phone. I mean, mine's on there. I mean, you don't see that.

Erik:

Make it visible so it's salient and you see it all the time and it reminds you.

Randal:

And finally, number four, be accountable, tell people. Tell people about your plan.

Erik:

Well, there's nothing more motivating is when you say you're gonna do something and you tell everyone you're gonna do it and then they hold you accountable. Then you tell them when you're gonna do it by, and now you have some accountability.

Randal:

So post it on your social medias and ask for accountability from your friends, right? So, how can you get to those resolutions, stick to them is really making it visual, having some accountability, having a timeframe and having a really good why. Why do you really want to do it? So, that's our outline for resolutions. What's your resolutions?

Erik:

Yeah, let's post in the comments below what your resolutions are for 2022.

Randal:

And we'll be calling you to keep you accountable. We'll be checking in with you on this. So, thanks for watching everybody. I hope your 2022 is off to a fantastic start. And until next time.

Randal and Erik:

Stay tuned and stay focused.

Randal:

Really? You want to be that happy?

Erik:

Yeah.

Randal:

I should've had more coffee.
