Hi, I'm Neathery with FOCUS Real Estate. I'm here at Cacao Nuts and Chocolates. I'm getting to talk to the owner today. Stay tuned. This is Leo Baez, the owner of Cacao Nuts and Chocolates. 

Leo:

Thank you for coming in today. 

Neathery:

When did you open Cacao? 

Leo- We opened Cacao in June, 2018. 

Neathery- Here in JP? 

Leo- Here in JP. 

Neathery:

You have more than one location, right? 

Leo:

We do, yeah. We have another location in Newton Highlands. So we've been there for a year and a half or so now. 

Neathery:

It's February, February is Valentine's Day. That's a big month for chocolates. Are you excited? 

Leo:

Super excited, it's definitely one of the best time of the year for us. We're excited to bring in new things, as we do every year. As you see around the shop, we already have a lot of gifts and we're actually gonna be making some more special treats for Valentine in the next couple of weeks, as well. 

Neathery:

Do you have something that you always bring in every, we can only get it during Valentines day? 

Leo:

Absolutely, yeah. We have a Praline Heart, that we only make this time of year and we also have some cute lips filled with Nutella and different things. So it's an amazing treat that we do this time of year, as well. 

Neathery:

What is your favorite chocolate to make? 

Leo:

So I gotta say the bark, you know, I'm simple. I like nuts, so I like chocolates and nuts. We have different kinds of barks.

Neathery:

Ah, yeah. 

Leo:

But my favorite is the dark chocolate with Cashews. I'm a big Cashew lover, so that combination to me, is just perfect. 

Neathery:

And are your nuts selling as much as your chocolate? 

Leo:

Yeah, definitely. So we roast our nuts here in this location. We've been roasting since we opened, we do fairly small batches, four pounds at a time, so we keep them fresh. And we have customers that come in, buy from a pound to eight pounds at a time. 

Neathery:

Eight pounds?

Leo:

Eight pounds, yeah. But I gotta say that the most popular nuts are the ones we roast in-house, which are glazed with different flavors and I'm selling close to 100 pounds or so every two weeks, 

Neathery:

Wow! 

Leo:

just different kinds. The most popular one is the Sweet and Spicy, which is roasted with organic cake sugar and Cayenne pepper. So it's really good. And if you walk in here while when we're roasting, it smells amazing. 

Neathery:

What is the craziest order you've ever had? Do people ever ask for custom made chocolates or flavors? 

Leo:

Yeah, yeah. We do a lot of corporate orders for holidays. Now we just did an amazing, a huge order for a law firm. So it was a lot of details to that order but you know, we were able to fulfill it and it was an amazing order. It was definitely the biggest order we ever had. 

Neathery:
